Hi,

I'd like to know if there happen to be Audi 100 Type 44 drivers, DIY addicts and/or garages in the Bristol area?
My son Jens lives there and his NFq just experienced the second ignition switch breakdown in its lifetime.
Although we know how to fix it at home it would be helpful to know, especially if someone knows about a small and reliable garage, which if necessary could repair this. I am a bit afraid a UK Audi garage might not be capable of doing it (certainly knowing less about how to do it) and to suggest anything else than buying a new car

I'm afraid I don't have any experience of the ignition switch, or repair places in Bristol.
However I suggest checking out http://www.classic-audi.co.uk/
There's a few Type 44 fans on there, including some in that part of the country.

The ignition switch has been repaired by my son himself.
