George hat geschrieben:Hello Mathias,
I have good news; I have finished my car (without painting). The supports for my strange gearbox were manufactured again because I couldn't find it here. My car is back on the street and after a lot of work I am really happy.
May I ask more information about?
- How to change antifreeze, tips;
- Turn light relays, or a fuse (what number it is, because my turn light don't blink, stays on all the time);
- My hydraulic pump starts leak, what do you suggest?
Thanks again for your help, without your help perhaps I wouldn't be able to fix my car.
Regards,
George
Hello George,
as I already wrote, thats very good news. One TYP44 more at the street.
Antifreeze: If you have had all water/antifreeze mix aut of your engine during reasembly, I would open only the bottom position of the cooling circle and let it flown out. Open the cover which is used for refilling and put the heating device to hot position.. Somebody also cleane the system. Means the use normal water and a tupe and let the water flowing through the enging and cooling parts. After this refil it with a mix of antreese liguid and water. Depence of your estimated max minius degrees.
I believ if you didn't have any mistake withe the ground conection at your lamp. Sometimes this is the reason. But I expect the the relays is demaged. You should find this behinde the speed indicator. My be yu could open it and repair. But I never did it.
Hydraulik pump. I have the similar Problem. So I could only explain from teoretical point of view.
My be you should have a look to this link. Sorry it is in German:
http://www.audi100-online.de/Technik/Ti ... aulikpumpe
Please discribe a littel bit wats happen with your hydraulik pump.
One importent point the hydraulik oil must be have the green clour and not red! This is the only one which will not demage your steering system.
Regards
Mathias

Hi, Mathis
Thanks,
I have looked to the engine but I didn't find the knob from where I could release water down. Please tell me more where is located this one.
I believe that it is impossible to put in wrong position the ground connection at my lamps because the sockets is in cross.
I have also a little problem, perhaps it is necessary to pull out all speedometer assembly and for this it is also necessary to pull out the wheel I couldn't pull out the wheel because I don't know how to dismount the signal plate (the plate with four spring and contacts situated behind the cover of the wheel). Please tell me tips for dismount wheel.
About my hydraulic pump. I already read the issue from this site (translate in English) but here in Romania I couldn't find properly hydraulic oil. I use common oil for steering direction made in USA. I have already bought an old hydraulic pump for practice. Behind my hydraulic pump I have found oil perhaps from o-rings. The oil doesn’t leak from front pump shaft. Do you know, kit to fix hydraulic pump is easy to be buy in Germany?
Regards,
George

Oh, that’s a misunderstanding. The knob is at the top for filling in.
For outlet, you could dismount a part of the tube which is very at the bottom side near the cooling equipment.

Yes that’s true, but I saw already people which use a wrong lamp inside (one with two contacts instead of one) or a cable is damaged.....

The signal plate is only pushed to the steering wheel. You have to pull it in your direction. There are (when I’m right) 4 plastic snap ins which are very often will be damaged during dismounting. This balance to the relative old material. Please also careful, because the cable for the signal is very short. Please lift it only 3-4 cm and disconnect the cable for the signal horn.

the deepest point at my car , to release all water was at the pump .-)
close all knobs and tubes, open the tube at the pump, an then put something under your car to catch the water,
-the water -should- "stay " in the system because its only open at one point , and no air can flow in..
then open the refill-knob a bit ...
and the water comes out...
Thanks,

Thanks everybody
I have looked for a knob somewhere under the water pump to release water from inside engine block. Because I didn't find I dismounted radiator and also the tube after thermostat. After that I have refilled the cool system with 5 liters pure antifreeze and 2 liters water. I think that it is OK.
Meantime something strange happened with my turn lights. It started to go but not all the time, only in periods, neither warning light works. The bulbs are OK. Have you any suggest?
I want to check oil from gearbox, I didn't find the screw for level. Do you now where it is located for a gear box type 3Q, or for old model gearbox?
Regards,
George

The two bolts which you should look for are the with no 5. the top one is for checking and the bottom one for outlet. Please carefuhl. Olways open first the top one for checking before you would open the bottom one for outlet. A lot of people open first the bottom one and then they couldnd't open the top one and didn#t have a chance to fill new oil inside.
The key is one of 19mm inside nut (sorry I didn't know the right word).
I hope this would be helpful for you.
See you Mathias
