Hello all typ44 fans ,
I thought about this project a long time ago and now , today I bought a grey sport velour seat from Audi 100 turbo quattro and I paid a little bit more than 6 euros counting in your currency :D
Here it is: http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/4421/img6825oe5.jpg
It's not rebuilt to fit my chair hydraulics yet , but soon it will be , we have a plan of remaking the bottom of that seat with my father :)
Heh , and it smells over my room like a typical Audi interior smell :D I like it 8)
And I have to clean it , because I bought it from the Audi parts yard :) by the way , seat is in perfect condition , taken from passengers side :)
I'll show you how It will look when we finish it :)

Hi !

Kind of ...

one of my 'old' front seats is currently in the living room, mounted on a piece of wood to prevent scratches on the floor, nr.2 and the rear seats are in the sleeping room, the front chair is usable, the rear is comfy arranged but not usable.

last year i had the nearly braindead idea to build a small lounge with the rear seats and some tons of wood, but this project is on freeze :-)

thats so far.
i also have a rest of a hydraulic chair left, waiting to be used in some silly kind :-) .

so, you are really not alone, there is always some other braindamaged ..
and if no one answers 'yes, here' to your question, then ask me, if its braindead enough :-) .

greetings !

roland

Ich hab 2 graue lederstuhlen (leider kein electric sport) nebeneinander auf
meinen grossen 1740 scheune dachboden stehen.

I wish my seat would be with heating :-D But it would be difficult to turn on , because you know , wires would break every time when you pull of the table with a seat a little more distance :D

Hi ,
what kind of seats you have? And from what Audi? :)
Yeah , I have a hydraulic chair on which I'm sitting now , so I will use these hydraulics for another seat - Audi seat :) But It's a little problem with gravity... Because I give 90% that It will fall backwards...
Haha , yes , some of us are braindamaged

Hmmm-

I HAve two leather-chairs (no electric sport) in the loft of my big old Barn. When i, sitting there i have a great outlook and its great for a smoker or beer drinker to relax.
I think its good to relax but i cant realize that a relax-chair is good for working. And i wondered how it will be look like as a chair..

i hope i have found the right words...

thank you very much , now I understand what he means :D
I don't know if it will be good for sitting in front of the desk and working , we will see when it is done and after a bit time if it's comfortable , if not , then I will put my old chair on the hydraulics back :-)
By the way , my one friend says that he has heating elements for my seat , so is it a big job to put them into that seat?

No no , no accumulators or batteries on the seat , I want original audi button with that little wheel which lets to choose how much heat I want in my seat , and I want it to be somewhere under my table , so wires need to be... And I think I would power it with adapter :) But those are just my thoughts , at first I must put that seat onto hydraulics :)
Haha , you project is the same as mine , what seat exactly do you have? :)
