Hello !

This connector at the cylinder head is a kind of ventilation for the injectors.
It is "normally" connected to the crank case ventilation system, and this ends
near the idle-running stabilisation ventil ... ( *argh* ) .
I'm trying to find an engine photo where you can see this assebmly.
Take a look at

I have found some older photos, PIC00008 should show you where the idle run stab. is mounted, and below there should be a free place to connect the missing one.
I hope this is similar to your motor type , my engine is a KP .

I think after 15 years of running time this connector and the thin tubes behind to the injector fittings are nearly completly covered with rest of oil in a cristalline and solid form (*), if the area is clean and lets vent air though, then you should have a little problem with the idle-running behaviour of your engine ( leak air // Falschluft ) .
If you cant find the right connector, try sealing it off for the beginning to see if it works and you get a better idle behaviour. You also have to find the corresponding connector in the near of the idle run. stab. ventil,

* Info an den deutschen leser, da ich entweder noch nciht richtig wach bin oder mein Englisch schwer übungsbedürftig .oder beides.

Hatte mal bei mir den Zylkopf gereinigt und dabei festgestellt, daß der Verbindugnsschlauch mit Ölschlamm bzw. so einer Art schwarzen Kristallen zugesetzt war, ebenso wie der Schlauch der Kurbelgehäuseentlüftung. Selbiges gilt für diesen kleinen Anschluss am Zylinderkopf, der dafür sorgen soll, daß die ESVs 'luftumspült' sind. ( laut machs dir selber ). An dem ET-Kopf der hier nun geputzt liegt, ist das ähnlich, pustet man da mal hinein, tut sich kaum was, leichter Luftzug.
Eventuell hilft es das mit nem guten Lösungsmittel zu tränken ( PUR 1000 ?), esvs raus und dann Druckluft drauf um das durchzupusten.

Dein Englisch ist gut, bis auf corresponding connector (habe ich zumindest noch nie gehört) auch alle englischen Fachbegriffe.
Leerlaufregelventil ist übrigens ISV (idle stabilisation valve).
Das der Kanal an dem von mir gereinigten Zylinderkopf nicht 100%ig frei sein soll wundert mich, oder ist das nicht der Zylinderkopf von Daniela? -Beim reinigen mit dem Dampfstrahler halte ich den Strahl immer direkt in den Stutzen, so das der ganze Schmodder mit 100 bar wegfliegt. Vorher sprühe ich noch einen guten Schluck PUR 1000 in den Stutzen, bis es bei den ESV Bohrungen rausläuft. Der Kanal sollte daher frei sein.

Okay, the upper arrow is the 'corresponding connector' you are looking for.

The other lower pipe is an additional air pipe from the controlled catalytic converter system from HJS Germany, if you do not have such a system, this pipe should not be in your motor room .
