i was just wondering who this car belongs too or if there is a detailed write up on how these HID's were done.

This guy transfers MB CLK lenses (in fact not only the lenses) into his 200 headlights, in order to please the TUEV and traffic authorities and to maintain proper aiming.

so where did he get the glass? or did he mod the stock glass to be clear?

Hello!

I think,he has used the stock car glasses and grinds the inner part of the glass to get a smoother surface.

On www.audi-limits.de the same procedure is described by making a pair of xenon headlights from a Type 81 Audi 90 as well.

Nice work,but a great effort to get the perfect resulate but it`s worth to be done :wink:

Hi,

yeah - he uses the stock 200 glasses and lots of sandpaper (literally).
The 200 glasses needed to be grinded in order to get rid of all optical effects they´re providing in an H4 environment.

In other words...

The 200 lights are no longer lights rather than body parts or housings for the CLK lights.
