Thank you -
- for this post and the time that you´ve put in!
Some of them are just G-R-E-A-T looking!
There are two cars that I´ve never ever before seen or read about:
The white AUDI 100 with the "sleeping room" on top
and
the other white one, an AUDI 200 (?) with the grill integrated with the hood.
Is this design a original one from AUDI and if so just sold to a few special
markets?
Greetings
Tony

Hello Tony,
the Audi 100 with the "sleeping room" is an Audi Camper which was build by the "Bischofsberger" Company in Germany. There are only a handfull left of these cars. Bischofsberger built these cars with 4-Zylinders and even with the 165PS Turbo engines. They also got a Camper based on the Type 43 Audi.
I don't know, which Audi 200 you mean, but some guys take the V8-Hood and mount it to an Audi 100/200. There are only some little items to change to make it fit.
Greetings
Jürgen

Jürgen!
Hi!
Thank´s a lot for your info!
I´ve been driving in your country since the end of the 80s in the summer and I´ve never seen this AUDI Camper, the "Bischofsberger" as you told us.
You just told me why!
Have you had the possibility to see one or even sleep in one for a night..?
===
Aha, that´s what they are doing!?
Like some MB owners who change their original one with the SEC hood on the "cheaper" models of the W201 = they then have the far more wider grill also covering some of the head lamps.
Regards
Tony

Re: Jürgen!
This Bischofsberger belongs to a friend of me (Fabian) who lives near Mainz like me. So I've seen that car on the Audi-Meetings as well as when I meet him for private purposes.4Circles hat geschrieben: Have you had the possibility to see one or even sleep in one for a night..?
I've not slept in it and I think I'm not young enought (47) to sleep in this car without feeling all of my bones.
Greetings
Jürgen
Hy Tony,
the facts Jürgen mentioned above are completely true. Audi itself, however used the (slightly adapted) V8 hood on some of it's chineese type 44 models:

More info about front modifications @ the type44:

44Q and Turbaxel!
Hi there!
Jürgen,
Thank you very much for the info (I will turn 50 in the middle of january next year so you will most likely crawl in there faster than me!
===
turbaxel,
Thank´s a lot for this picture! The hood is as perfect to that front as it can get I think; a lovely dark color too.
I´m not a lazy man, I will look at the links that you´ve provided, but a short one for now:
does a change from the standard hood to this one requires any other parts such as different hinges and another upper "crossmember" (I do my very best you know!
), the beam with the "female" part for the lock for the hood?
Thank you for your time
Tony

Hi Tony,
once again bad english is your friend, here:
http://babel.altavista.com/babelfish/tr ... erUnd200er
AFAIK, the V8 hood's grill frame has to be adapted/bend vertically, since the V8's front is much flatter compared to the 100/200. The rest ought to be plug 'n play. Just put the V8 hood atop the 100/200 engine bay.
The result will look slightly strange and not so many people around here do like this kinda mod.
