Finally my own audi 200 20v

Yesterday after a search of nearly 2,5 years I finally bought my own audi 200 20v.

on the wortherseetour I saw a very nice audi 200, from that moment I knew....I've got to have one of those

A few months back I found one by accident on belgian kapaza.be... went overthere and I was sold

So yesterday we went back again with a cartransporter and picked it up.... here a few pictures









it has the following options:
* sportseats
* climate controle
* half leather interior
* bbs wheels
* v8 rearlights
* elektrical windows
and some more

I've got many plans for this car. The bodywork needs a little bit of work, both bumpers need to be painted and one sidepanel because there used to be a gasinstallation in the car. But due to the high taxes here in Holland it wasn't interesting for me to ride on gas. I've also got 17" bbs rs waiting to try on. But after looking at some other audi 200's I'm not sure about the 17" maybe 18" looks a bit better. But I will see about that. If also got usa rearlights that I want to try on.

I also want to get a kw-adjustable suspensionkit. But I've understand that they need to custombuilt it for the 200 20v. And I want to fit with a bose soundsystem

ok that's nice, it's a great guy... and he was really keen on his car so it's om very good shape!!

I've paid 4500 euros for it, and in this shape I think a made a good deal, a good 200 is hard to find

here a small update, at the end of the month I will register my 200 in Holland so I can drive it. I've concentrated myself on gathering parts these few months. I now have:

_ US taillights
_ bose installation (with black leather doorcards)
_ today my new rims arrived BBS RS 8,5J in front and 9,25J for the rear
_ next week I'm probably going to bring away my front federbeine in order te be remaked for a set of coilovers from KW

So hopefully I can present a few new pics @ the end of the month

Oh- very small tyres . i drive 225/45 17 and they are even a little bit smaller than Original.

I was thinking about 245/35/17 but is this possible with the quattro drivetrain? how can I check if the tiresize are not to far off?

if the tiresize is the same at all 4 rims there is no problem.

With quattro this is not allowed !

When you will drive another tire in front as back, you must have the equal roling circumference.

at this link you can calculate it.

I´m not shure, but i belive that the difference of the roling circumference must not be greater than 3% . So make sure that it will be equal as possible.
I Think under 1% is better for your drive train!

215/35-17 and 245/30-17 was a solution. better run the same in front and back

according to that website the difference between 225/35/17 and 245/35/17 is 2,8% so that's within the 3%

Yes off course, but in this case your drive train will be stressed by maximum.

If the tread at one axle is on a lower value you will exceed the maximum.
Or at every turn you will exceed it.

You have to make sure that the differece will not exceed about 1%.

Mine is 215/45 R17 on the front and 235/40 R17 on the back , with 0.9% difference , if I remember correctly

it depends on a lot of factors! taxes depends on weight and which county you live in, and what kind of fuel you drive (benzin/gas/diesel)! it will cost me 836,00 EUR a year and if a car is 25 years or older its taxfree!

insurance depends on age/ county/ power/ and how many years you drove accident free... it will be around 800,00 EUR a year but then I'm only insured for damage that I will cause to others

I can insure my car for full risk when is taxated but then I will probably pay more a year... but when I'm done with all the modification I will do that because then you are assured that everything can be replaced when you have an accident!

that was what I was hoping for but the goverment has frozen the 25 years from 01-01-2010 so probobly my car won't be taxfree

I was expecting trouble getting a small licenceplate, but when I went to check in the vehicle they directly noticed the us-taillights. Today I received the licenceplate papers and there's a notification on it that allow me to drive with small us-style licenceplates!

Normally in Holland too (so I'm very happy I managed to pull this off ), once you have normal plates it's definitly impossible!
