MC2 ECU dumps (firmware)

Beitrag von SamFM »

Fellow C3 owners, thanks to my brother who chip-tunes VAG transmissions and engines for living, I was able to download a EPROM from my original MC2 MAC-14 Hitachi ECU and from "tuner" KL-Racing chip. Files are attached.

Does anyone knows how to interpret them?

For example, I can see some kind of fuel map, but not sure what it does to car's hardware (only used N7 valve to enrich or..?), etc. The EPROM has a lot of unknown areas. So I wonder, If anyone, just out of curiosity, has some explanation what means what?

Fuel map from stock MC2 EPROM:

Tuned (1 bar) MC2 EPROM with some faults, by the way:

The only people I know knowledegable about those ECUs and still actively tinkering with them would be names found in this board/thread:
https://www.audiworld.com/forums/audi-5 ... g-2189167/
"QLCC" stands for "Quattro List Chip Club" - if you put that into a search engine you'll come up with some information :)

The problem is that the scene is very small and most who used to be active there have moved on without passing on their knowledge to the general public.

Thank you for the QLCC reference. Reading the Audiworld forum about chipping 10VT. Quite interesting.
